True-Orthophoto for
Hamburg City
True-Orthophoto
In 2018 and 2020, BSF Swissphoto was able to carry out aerial photography of the entire city area with a total area size of more than 800 kmĀ² on behalf of the State Office for Geoinformation and Surveying of the City of Hamburg.
The aim of the measurement image flights carried out in the spring with a ground resolution of better than 5 cm and 80% longitudinal and transverse coverage was - in addition to the creation of classic orthophotos - the comprehensive creation of true orthophotos based on high-density bDOM.
The more than 70,000 vertical aerial images captured with a large-format measurement camera in a total flight time of 50 object hours in 2020 were used for extensive dense cloud calculations and 3D point cloud creation using semi-global matching to ultimately create high-resolution 5 cm true orthophotos for to create the city of Hamburg.
